Each month, a noted guest reader chooses a compelling book that features some human rights issue.
When you sign up, we will email you each month a comprehensive Discussion Guide featuring:
information about the author and the guest reader
questions designed to promote discussion
an Amnesty International action you can take related to the human rights issue the book raises
other information sources.
You can join an online discussion at Goodreads or discuss the book with friends or in your book club. If you’re already in a book club, we hope you will pick one of our books one month and also participate in taking the human rights action for that month.
If you want to start a Book Club, you can use our reading list and we will provide you with tips on how to get started. Contact us
Visit our Partners page to connect with a library or bookstore near you. They carry our Amnesty Book Club selections and have free bookmarks. These partners care about human rights, too.
In Fall 2015, look for the Amnesty Book Club table at the International Festival of Authors in Toronto and the Vancouver Writers Fest in Vancouver.
We will be holding live events in different communities and webcasts, which we’ll let you know about via email and our website.
Printed copies of the Discussion Guides are also available if requested.
