Children's Picture Book Collection

Located on the 5th floor of Centennial Hal, the Children's Picture Book Collection holds over 4000 juvenile works at various reading levels. While the collection is open for browsing and use in the library, special permissions must be given for education students to borrow these items. You can search the collection using the link below, or by adding (b8:picture books) to your search. If you need any help with this collection, please feel free to contact me using the links on the left.

Provincial Government Education and Training

In Canada, provincial governments direct education and child care, including the curriculum. In Manitoba, this responsibility rests with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning, whose stated mission is: "To ensure responsive, equitable, high-quality child care and learning that fosters belonging from early childhood through to high school graduation, and supports all children and youth to reach their full potential."

Below, you'll find links to important curriculum documents for Manitoba, as well as neighbouring provinces.
