Open Access Week Events
Each year SPARC (the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) organizes an international Open Access awareness campaign. During this week long event, institutions around the globe host local talks, discussions, panels etc. in an effort to spread awareness and support for Open Access within their communities. Open Access Week usually occurs during the 3rd week of October.
COPPUL Sponsored Open Access Week Webcasts
In concert with Open Access Week, COPPUL (the Council of Prairie and Pacific University Libraries) provides financial support in order for member institutions to make their Open Access Week events accessible via webcast to a larger audience. The recipients of the funding are announced on COPPUL's blog prior to Open Access Week.
