Welcome to the research guide for Urban and Inner City Studies. The study of cities, urban life and the social issues associated with them is highly interdisciplinary, so this particular Research Guide will not be able to address all of these possible topics and approaches. Please consider also consulting other guides, such as those for criminal justice, conflict resolution, disability studies, economics, environmental studies, Indigenous Studies, political science, psychology, sociology, and women's and gender studies.

Urban and Inner-city Studies is an interdisciplianry Major concerned with the examination of the city as a dynamic environment. The program combines a traditional urban studies focus with courses that examine the various aspects of the inner city, such as the urban Aboriginal experience, the immigrant and refugee experience, and the role of women.
